The 18th of July (Sunday) is a very special day, not only for all South Africans, but also for the international community, as the United Nations has declared this day as International Nelson Mandela Day, being the birth day of Nelson Mandela.
As South Africans, we need to use the occasion to reflect and renew our pledge to keep the legacy of Madiba alive. His commitment to peace, justice and reconciliation must always remain embedded in our hearts. As we find ourselves at the epicentre of the 3rd wave of the Corona pandemic in Gauteng, we cannot convene a gathering of all our seniors, as we did in the past, to celebrate this special day. We recognise that our Senior Citizens are particularly vulnerable and we sadly acknowledge the realities of isolation, social distancing and other barriers which make it difficult for our seniors to enjoy the usual events.
We want you to know that we at the Laudium Care Services for the aged, care for your well-being and we are aware of the challenges in adjusting to this new restrictive way of life. We are therefore distributing to you, in the comfort of your home, a food hamper with a Winter Warm Poncho as part of our 67 minute Madiba Campaign!!! In reaching out to all our beneficiaries, please be assured that you are not alone.
Our LCSA team cares deeply about your physical and mental well-being and we are ever ready to lend a helping hand. We have lost many of our near and dear seniors. So care and caution is our message to you. By devoting our time in tribute to our international icon, Nelson R Mandela, let us remain resolute in the face of this pandemic, to do all we possibly can to remain safe and observe all Covid protocols.
Our team will keep in contact with you, should you require any form of assistance. You are welcome to contact us on:
012- 374 0680,
or at our offices at Bhidia Center, 292-2nd Avenue, Laudium.
STAY SAFE!!!!
