July 18, the day of Madiba’s birthday and Nelson Mandela Day across the world, was an appropriate time to do some good for the community and make 67 minutes count on the day, in tribute to Madiba’s 67 years devoted to public betterment. Madiba has undoubtedly left his mark on us, as his many wise words continue to resound throughout South Africa and indeed the world. Let us not make the day a one day wonder of 67 minutes, but carry on doing something positive for our communities in a selfless manner, the way Madiba would have, and thus bestow honor on his memory.
