Soobarmoney (Soobrie) Padayachi was born in Marabastad on the 3rd February 1959. He
was the son of the late Mariemotto and Panjela Padayachi. He had 7 siblings. His parents moved to Laudium in 1961, where he went to Andrew Anthony and completed his schooling at Laudium High. In 1981 he met the love of his life, Vasinthee, and they got married on the 24th November, that same year. They have 4 beautiful children; Nashie, Prineesha, Sundra and Anisha. Soobrie had the privilege of witnessing all his children get married and was a proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren.

Soobrie worked at Boerstra, then became self employed and finished off his working career at Tasneem Jewellers. He gave his heart to the Lord in 1986 and was baptised by Ps Kevin Naicker in the Full Gospel Church—Bethesda Revival Church. Soobrie, together with his wife Vasinthee, was very involved in the church, missionaries, Sunday school and feeding the less fortunate. He loved the Lord with all his heart and loved being in Church. Soobrie was also a great soccer player. He played for Delfos Football Club and was a coach for the famous Royal Hearts soccer team. If you didn’t know, Soobrie was a die-hard Liverpool fan—and we can say with much comfort today, that he will never walk alone…

Soobrie loved his family very very much. He was a wonderful husband, a great father, and the best grandfather any grandchild could ever ask for. He made sure that all their needs were met and that they ran short of nothing. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Soobrie had a heart of gold and would drop everything if his family were in dire straits or in need of anything. He was a humble man of God, who spoke very few words, but always had a great impact on many lives. Soobrie will be dearly missed.

“If we have forgotten to show our gratitude enough for all the things you did, we’re thanking you now and hoping you knew all along how much you meant to us. We will always love you and cherish your memories that will live on forever.”

Soobrie leaves behind his wife Vasinthee, his 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 3 sons in laws, and daughter in law, his brother and sister and a trail of family and friends.

May Your Beautiful Soul Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory.
