A trip to the Vaal this past Saturday (24 September) turned out to be a great one for Lekheel Gopaul (12), of Ash Avenue, Lotus Gardens. He surprised his father and grandfather when he reeled in a 2,5kg large mouth bass, also reeling in a few yellow and mud fish. Lekheel excitedly told the Laudium Sun that he used medium size gold spinner to land the bass.
Muhammad Farouk Valjee (27) of Raslouw Gardens, Raslouw, shows the luminescent 4,5kg carp he pulled in from the waters of Bloemhof Dam at the Sandveld Nature Reserve, the previous Sunday. The catch was made using perdeby floatie with clove and hot honey flouro powder.
Muhammad Billal (27) of Monavoni, Centurion told the Laudium Sun how thrilled he was when he felt that wonderful tug on his line at Bloemhof Dam recently… it was a carp, weighing in at 4,3kg. “I used banana X floatie with banana X and legend dip coated with honey glow powder, to reel in my catch”, Muhammad enthused.
