· Tell us a little about yourself.
I grew up in Ophirton, Johannesburg. I am married, with two beautiful children, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
· Tell us about your sporting career history.
I used to play soccer in the streets with a tennis ball and thereafter I played league football at Queens Park.
· How many years in the sporting field?
60 years and thankfully still going strong.
· For all our readers, please tell us what attracted you to this sport?
What attracted me to this sport was wanting to keep fit, pass time, build friendships and mainly to stay off the streets.
· What was your favourite victory and proudest moment?
When I played in the Nigel Tournament in 1967 and we beat Cambridge.
· How did you develop your skill?
By playing soccer in the streets.
· Who is your greatest inspiration?
My late brother Ahmed Mohamed.
· What would you like the youth to take from your passion for the sports?
Always have a spirit of unity, irrespective of race,colour or anything.
·What has this sport taught you off the field?
That friendships last forever.
· What message would you like to give to our readers?
Stay off the streets and encourage your kids to do any sport so it will keep them busy.
