Christmas brings a message of hope
Christmas is an awesome time of the year

Pastor Kevin Naicker.

The Christmas Advent is all about hope and God’s hope isn’t something we can manufacture. Hope doesn’t come with the power of positive thinking. Hope is based on who Christ is and His promises to us! It’s a time to celebrate God’s love for us, and to spread his love to all mankind. God’s love is hope in our current situation. God’s love is an integral part of the true meaning of Christmas, because if He did not love the world as He did, He would not have sent His Son to die on the cross. Christmas is a reminder to the world that God loves everyone, and that through His son Jesus, He made the forgiveness of sins possible. The important reminder about Christmas, is our hope in Him. Over the past three years we were challenged in many ways. We have also seen nations go through political turmoil, wars, natural disasters and pandemics, with hope among their citizens beginning to reduce. Focusing on the real meaning of Christmas however, gives people hope because they know that Jesus came to earth to give them an opportunity to have a relationship with Him, and to give those who accept His salvation and believe in Him eternal hope. Christmas shows divine involvement and God’s divine involvement in the lives of people is a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. Today, can we embrace the message from our heralding angels… a message of peace as we live in a world of conflict.

“My message for Christmas would be for each and every one of us to appreciate others, but most importantly how far have we come. This year hasn’t been the best year but we have learnt, grown and have pushed ourselves to be better versions of who we are. The year is almost over and we need to thank God for getting us this far. It’s a whole blessing to live every day, so as we celebrate Christmas never forget to also appreciate God for your existence, because if you weren’t alive today, you weren’t going to live to experience this beautiful moment. I wish everyone a very special Merry Christmas.”

Omega Family Ministries

Pastors, Brian Chauke (28) and Teshima Pillay (30) of Broadway Str, Valhalla:
“Christmas is a season in which Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We remember his purpose of being sent to us. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. -Isaiah 9:6-7 (ESV)
Christmas truly is one of the most wonderful times of the year. For many, there are warm parties, cozy homes, fond traditions to celebrate and gifts to be shared. It’s a joyous time of celebration. The last 2 years have been tough for us all. People we loved and cherished have been taken away from us due to Covid. A new day has dawned. Pull those who are still with you a little closer and appreciate a little more. Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year to All!!”
Pastor Jason Ramsuran (26), of Emerald Str, Laudium:
“From my house to yours, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous and blessed New Year, and may the Lord continue to protect and bless you and your family.”
Pastors Rajoo (46) and wife Ria Bhana (42) of Sarel Avenue, West Park:
“May this Christmas be cheerful with joyous celebration in the season. Let your joy overflow and let gentleness be seen in every relationship. Grace and peace!”
Minister Elon (32) and Pastor Karin Marian (26), of Kraai Str, Westpark:
“Christmas is about caring and giving beyond oneself and our very narrow family unit. It is about noticing all the different places people are at in their lives and giving space for all of it. It is about love — love for our family, love for our friends, love for mankind. The magic and wonder of Christmas does not live most deeply in the trimmings of the season or in its iconic symbols, it lives in the spirit of love and giving that transcends religion and beliefs. We the Marian family take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.”

Pentecostal Revival Centre Claudius

Pastor Jacques Jooste of Cordelfos Street, Westpark:
“The BIBLE says Psalm 146 is an uplifting song of praise that celebrates God’s faithfulness. And as we get ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus, we are reminded in this psalm to praise the Lord and put our trust in Him alone. For God “reigns forever, for all generations.” We are reminded in Psalm 146 that God is the Maker of all things on earth and in Heaven and that “He remains faithful forever.” With the coming of Christ, God fulfils His promises to send the Messiah, the Saviour; He is faithful forever. Christ our King is born! And because of His birth, life, death, and resurrection, He demonstrates His supremacy over all. He comes to uphold “the cause of the oppressed” and to give “food to the hungry.” He “sets the captives free and gives sight to the blind,” and “lifts up those who are bowed down.” And because Christ reigns forever, we sing “Hallelujah”; we “praise the Lord all our life.”
On behalf of Pentecostal Revival Centre we would like to wish everyone a Blessed and Joyous Christmas and remember Christ is the reason for the season. May all experience the Joy and Love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ this festive season. Amen!!!!”
A special invitation welcoming all to our Christmas day celebration service at 9am.
