The Laudium Cancer Care Group (LCCG) which was established in 1986, hosted a high spirited function for cancer patients at the Silver Crescent Gardens in Laudium this past Wednesday (Oct 19).
The Master of Ceremonies was Zakira Bhika who had patients participating in physical exercises. Plenty of laughter, singing, entertainment and music were provided. This was followed by scrumptious luncheon followed by fruit, tea and cakes for dessert. The patients thoroughly enjoyed the get-together, which was held after a long time since the Covid pandemic.
”The volunteers are so committed that they ensured transport to and from the venue, as well as food for all to take home to their families. The LCCG is deeply indebted to Silver Crescent management for the use of the venue, crockery and staff at no cost for the event”, said Rashida Ebrahim on behalf of the LCCG.
