Whilst the official completion of the matric examination for the class of ‘21 will be next Tuesday, with subjects still to be written, such as Agricultural Sciences, Nautical science, Dramatic Arts and Dance Studies, most schools in the Laudium/Erasmia area finished their matric exams this past Wednesday, as these subjects are not offered in the area. The Laudium Sun visited Laudium’s Central Islamic School and spoke to a few Grade 12 learners and their Principal.

This is what they had to say…

Taskeen Suleman, “As I venture into a new horizon, I thank my Creator for showering me with His infinite blessings and divine mercy. A special thank you goes out to my teachers. May Allah bless you for choosing to be the guides for generation after generation. It is only because of your efforts that humanity sustains and grows. My duas are with you today and always. To my fellow classmates, I wish you every success and joy as you embark on the next chapter of your life. May Allah bless you with all that you dream of and more. To my parents and family, thank you for your guidance and support. May you be blessed abundantly for all that you do for me.”
Muhammed Uwais Rocker, “They say that in life, the journey is more important than the destination. Each of us are ending a chapter in our own journey, about to start a new one. With the world before us, there is nothing that can hold us back. To my fellow students, be proud of how far you’ve come and seize every opportunity that comes your way. To my teachers, thank you for the time, effort and patience you’ve shown. It’s your commitment to our success that has laid the foundation for an epic journey that lies ahead. May Allah bless you in abundance for all your hard work. To my family, the support and love you have given me is immeasurable and I look forward to having you with me in all of life’s adventure.
Principal of CIS, Manzoor Alimia, “After a year of dedication and hard work, despite the restrictions placed on them by the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, the matrics have never wavered and our expectation is that they will make the school proud. I would like to thank my staff members and colleagues for giving their time and effort to our learners. I wish our learners all the best and great results.”
Hamza Lahouati, “These past 12 years have been a long and arduous journey. However, despite the difficult times, it has provided me with many happy and rewarding experiences and memories. This journey has armed me with the knowledge I need to achieve my goals. A big thank you to all my teachers and to the friends who have been working alongside me all the way.”
Aarefah Vahed, “I am very so grateful to my Creator and the CIS family for the pleasant Islamic atmosphere that always filled the air around us. To all the teachers at CIS, I appreciate all the hard work and dedication throughout my school career. To my classmates, the memories of our schooling career will always be missed. It truly was a great experience. Set your goals high and dream big. May Allah (SWT) be with all of you, always.”
Zuhayra Bashir, “For all the 12 years that I have been in this school, each year brought about its own challenges and difficulties, but along with it came the good times and memories that we all have together. The journey was not an easy one, but no path in life is easy. Everything that I have achieved is all through the grace and mercy of Allah (SWT). I would like to thank my parents for all the craziness that I brought and my teachers who laid the foundation to where I am today. Lastly I would like to thank my classmates for all the support and thank you for always being there.”
