A warrior in Christ, he departed from this world at the age of 74. He was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg. He laid to rest his first born son, Pastor Mark Dorasamy, on January 27, 2021. He leaves behind his loving wife Savy, his son Cedric Dorasamy, daughter Marilyn Henry, daughters-in-law; Michelle Dorasamy and Marshelle Dorasamy, son-in-law Mervin Henry and grandchildren Marisa Henry, Mishca Henry, Danielle Dorasamy, Caleb Dorasamy, Adelle Dorasamy, Joslyn Dorasamy and Shaianne Dorasamy. He is also survived by his sister Cynthie Naidoo and brother Kersie Dorasamy. Pastor Gopaul was a man of impeccable moral grounding. He served all he knew with everything he had, a mentor, a father and a friend to many. His commitment to the Lord was second to none. He preached the gospel of Christ at every opportunity he had. His ministry went beyond the borders of South Africa, to Kenya, the USA and England. He was a well-loved man who embraced people from every facet of life. Pastor Gopaul will be sorely missed by his family and many, many friends. Forever in our hearts. Love you always.
