Muslims throughout the world participated in a Juloos (procession) this past Sunday (October 9), being the birth date (12 Rabi-ul-Awwal) of the beloved Prophet (SAW), who came into this world as a ‘mercy to mankind.’ In Yemen and many other countries, tens of thousands of Muslims took to the streets to . In South Africa, there were celebrations on many streets throughout the country, and the streets of Laudium also came alive, with over 1000 devotees marching (Juloos) in honor of the Holy Prophet (SAW). This was the 23rd Juloos in Laudium, which was spearheaded by the Darul-Uloom Pretoria. This annual event not only highlights the importance of the birth of the Holy Prophet (SAW) but, in fact, emphasizes the values enshrined in showing love, dedication, commitment and selflessness for the best of creation.
